KIEV, Oct. 15 - Ukraine and Poland are in discussions over building a pipeline that would dramatically increase capacity for European gas imports, an official at UkrTransGaz, a state-owned gas shipper, said Wednesday.
The $245 million project would increase capacity for European gas imports to Ukraine via Poland to 8.3 billion cubic meters per year from about 1.5 billion cu m/year, the official said.
“The discussions are underway to expand the capacity,” the official said.
