KIEV, Sept. 24 - Skhidny Mining and Enrichment Combine (VostGOK, Zhovti Vody, Dnipropetrovsk region), plans to increase its production of uranium concentrate by 8.5% or 78 tons in 2014, to 1,000 tons, Skhidny Mining Director General Oleksandr Sorokin told reporters in Kiev on Tuesday.
"We expect that we'll produce around 1,000 tons [of uranium concentrate] this year," he said.
Sorokin said that if there were additional investment Skhidny Mining would be able to boost uranium ore extraction and concentrate production.
