KIEV, Dec. 14 ??“ The Finance Ministry and Parliament??™s budget committee have apparently agreed Wednesday on 2006 budget deficit target, the key point in discussions over the past two months, a lawmaker said.

Many lawmakers have been insisting the 2006 budget deficit should increase to 3.1% of the gross domestic product, while the government had maintained the figure should not exceed 2.5%.
