Talks aim to prevent Yanukovych from future government, aide says
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Nov. 22 – President Viktor Yushchenko and former Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko parties are in talks that may prevent an opposition leader from heading the government after March 2006 election, a negotiator said Tuesday.

If the talks succeed, former Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych would never get the post of the prime minister even if his Regions Party wins the vote, Mykola Tomenko, a Tymoshenko negotiator, said.
