KIEV, Feb. 26 - Ukrainian banks will begin the mass production of PayPass contactless payment cards in 2013, MasterCard Europe Director General in Ukraine Vira Platonova said.

"Around 10 banks will produce PayPass contactless payment cards in 2013," she said at a meeting with reporters on Tuesday.

According to Platonova, at the beginning of this year there were only two such banks – Ukraine's largest bank PrivatBank and Delta Bank, while contactless cards are accepted in 3,000 trade outlets.
