Another government retreat on GDP: 2005 growth to be 3.5%, not 4%
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Oct. 24 – The Ukrainian government, for the fourth time over the past four months, revised downwards the country’s economic growth forecast, now seeing the expansion at 3.5% vs. 4% on year in 2005.

The new forecast, which has been announced by Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov Monday, comes as a surprise as the economy had recorded a positive growth trend in September.
