KIEV, Jan. 8 - President Viktor Yanukovych has authorized Energy and Coal Industry Minister Eduard Stavytsky to sign guarantee agreements with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the European Atomic Energy Community for a project to improve the safety of Ukrainian nuclear power plants.

Mykyta Konstantinov, director of the department for strategic policy, investment and the nuclear energy complex of the Energy and Coal Industry Ministry, will head the mission.
