KIEV, Oct. 3 ??“ The Industrial Union of Donbas, a major steel group, completed the purchase of Huta Czestochowa, Poland's No. 2 steel company, in the largest overseas acquisition by a Ukrainian company, an official said Monday.

IUD acquired Huta Czestochowa for $381.7 mln in cash and pledged to spend another $82.3 mln over the next three years to upgrade the company, while gaining a foothold in the European Union.
