KIEV, Sept. 30 - French bank Societe Generale is considering the possibility of buying Ukraine's UkrSibbank, the French daily newspaper La Tribune reported.

UkrSibbank is the fifth largest bank in Ukraine.

"The French bank is going to purchase UkrSibbank, Ukraine's fifth biggest bank," reads the article, quoted by Interfax-Ukraine. "Societe Generale is strengthening its position in the East."
