KIEV, Sept. 30 - Ukraine will dramatically reduce areas planted with winter grains to be harvested in June-August 2006 because of extremely dry weather throughout the country, Agriculture Minister Oleksandr Baranivskiy said.
The areas will probably be reduced to 3.5 million hectares in 2005, or slightly more that a half of what has been originally forecast, and down from more than 6.3 million hectares planted in 2004, Baranivskiy said.
