KIEV, Sept. 3 - Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko said Friday Ukraine will seek to continue to get paid with natural gas for shipping Russian gas to markets in Europe during the next 8 years.

Ukraine's position clashes with that of Russia that had been insisting for the past six months to switch to payments in hard currency, which is thought to benefit Gazprom.
