KIEV, Aug. 16 - Serhiy Yaremenko, a deputy governor of the National Bank of Ukraine and a key advocate of leaving foreign currency trading restrictions intact, resigned on Tuesday, a source at the bank said.

The resignation was apparently accepted by Volodymyr Stelmakh, the governor, the source said. The NBU's press service declined to comment.
