Ukraine starts power exports to Romania, talks with Belarus, Russia
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, July 30 – Ukraine started power exports to Romania earlier this year and is in talks with Belarus and Russia over prices for electricity exports there, Energy and Fuel Ministry Ivan Plachkov said.

Ukraine, which has a huge overcapacity in power generation, seeks to boost its exports to earn hard cash and to keep its power generation industry in a good shape, officials have said.
