KIEV, June 8 – The National Bank of Ukraine will support the Ukrainian economy by printing money, although the central bank believes that this step is undesirable, according to Oleksandr Arseniuk, the deputy director of the monetary policy department at the NBU.

"We will have to do this, taking into account the requirements of the law," he said at a roundtable entitled "Anti-crisis strategies for Ukraine: How to resume crediting of the economy," which was held in Kiev on June 5 at the initiative of the Financial Development League, a representative office of the World Bank and the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia weekly newspaper.
